On January 28-29, the ICARUS Consortium gathered in Nordhausen, Germany, to celebrate its 3rd General Assembly. This time, our partner K-UTEC was in charge of hosting the meeting. During these days, partners had the opportunity to visit K-UTEC’s impressive headquarters in Sondershausen, including their laboratories and testing areas where innovative projects like ICARUS come to life.

The meeting also provided an excellent opportunity for partners to review progress on key milestones and plan the next steps for the project. Sessions focused on advancing the experimental characterisation of secondary raw materials (SRMs), optimising technologies, and defining technical and quality specifications for upscaling these materials. Key discussions centred around the comprehensive assessment of the environmental and social impacts of the project, with an emphasis on scaling SRMs and addressing critical elements in waste materials.
